Boosting Competency and Synergy, BKJL and PICT Hold Refreshment Training for Receiving & Delivery Team

In a continuous effort to reinforce its commitment to safety, reliability, and operational efficiency, PT. Bandar Krida Jala (BKJL) together with Patimban International Car Terminal (PICT) held a joint Refreshment program for all Receiving and Delivery personnel from various divisions. This activity was specifically designed to elevate performance standards, build stronger team chemistry, and reinforce the understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

This refreshment program is a strategic and proactive counter-measure to minimize potential oversights, especially for frontline field operation divisions such as Driver Shifting, Driver Shuttle, and Leadman.

“Our most significant investment is in our human resources. By aligning the understanding and skills of the entire team, we are confident we can provide superior logistics services with zero incidents for our clients,” emphasized the Management Representative of PT. BKJL in his opening address.

A Series of Challenging and Educational Hands-On Activities

The refreshment was not merely theoretical but emphasized practical, hands-on training to ensure the competency of every individual. Several core activities carried out included:

  • Pre-test: To gauge participants' initial level of understanding before the training began.

  • Material Presentation: A refresher on all core SOPs, safety procedures, and effective on-field communication techniques.

  • Vehicle Get In and Get Off Test: Simulating the correct procedures for entering and exiting a vehicle cabin to prevent injuries and maintain worker ergonomics.

  • Driver's Driving Test (Slalom Test): Drivers underwent a dexterity test by maneuvering their units through a course of installed cones. This test trains precision, stability, and responsiveness in vehicle control.

  • Test for Leadman: Leadmen, who act as field guides, were assessed on their ability to provide clear and accurate instructions to drivers for parking vehicles in the correct position.

  • Post-test: A final evaluation to measure the increase in understanding and the effectiveness of all the material presented.

“Activities like this significantly build our on-field chemistry. Communication between drivers and leadmen becomes smoother, movements become more predictable, and most importantly, the sense of mutual trust within the team grows stronger,” said one participant from the Driver Shifting division.
