Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) MV IRIS ACE Makes Maiden Call at Patimban Port

March 12, 2026 | Patimban—PT. Bandar Krida Jala (BKJL) marked a significant milestone after being officially entrusted to handle stevedoring operations for the maiden call of a vessel owned by PT. Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) Indonesia at Patimban Port. MV Iris Ace Voyage 104/A successfully unloaded a total of 1,515 vehicles under the full control of BKJL’s Stevedore Operations team.

This trust cements PT. BKJL’s position as a Legal, Professional, and Adaptive stevedoring company in the Patimban Port area. The Director of PT. BKJL stated that the direct appointment by MOL Indonesia was not merely a ceremonial moment, but a reflection of high safety, security, and professional working standards.

As part of the preparations, the Manager and all section heads of the Stevedore Operations Division received a comprehensive briefing on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for stevedoring. The briefing was delivered directly by the Port Captain of PT. MOL Indonesia, ensuring every stage complied with international regulations and stringent safety standards.

Beyond technical readiness, occupational safety was also made a top priority. Before commencing the unloading of units, all members of the Stevedore Operations team held a pre‑activity preparation meeting—commonly known as a Gangway Meeting—led directly by Mr. Taufik, Operational Manager of PT. BKJL. This step has become a mandatory company routine aimed at minimizing the risk of accidents and ensuring prime physical readiness on site.
