Ahead of Year-End Shipments, NYK Group Executives Personally Inspect BKJL’s Readiness at Patimban

Patimban, 21 Mei 2026 – The trust placed by global logistics players in PT Bandar Krida Jala (BKJL) has once again been put to the test. Top management from the NYK (Nippon Yusen Kaisha) Group — one of the world’s largest shipping and logistics companies — travelled directly to Patimban Port to inspect BKJL’s readiness to receive their cargo, scheduled to arrive at the end of this year.

The delegation, led directly by Sandeep Chawla, Chairman and Region Head of NYK Group South Asia Pte. Ltd., came to ensure that every operational detail met the stringent standards applied by the global enterprise. Chawla was accompanied by Ochiai (President Director) and Fujita (General Manager) of NYK Logistics Indonesia (NLI), both of whom actively oversaw the technical assessment in the field.

The delegation’s primary focus was to observe firsthand BKJL’s manpower capabilities and work systems in handling the vehicle cargo units that will fall under their responsibility. The entire process — from loading and unloading procedures and safety standards to unit quality inspections — was presented transparently by BKJL’s operational team.

BKJL’s management welcomed the visit as a strong signal of a strengthening strategic relationship with one of the world’s logistics giants. “The direct presence of the Chairman of NYK Group South Asia is proof that trust cannot be bought — it must be built through tangible readiness.
